Plus, the savior of the US egg crisis just might be... Turkey?

Happy Monday afternoon to everyone on The Street. Here's a snapshot of where markets ended the trading session, plus tomorrow's trade idea delivered to you today.
🟨 | US stocks were mixed today as the major indexes struggled to bounce back from Friday’s rout ahead of this week’s make-or-break events.
📈 | One Notable Gainer: Walgreens (WBA) shares added more than 6% as rumors of a potential buyout by PE firm Sycamore grew louder.
📉 | One Notable Decliner: NVIDIA’s (NVDA) stock shed 3% ahead of its earnings report on Wednesday. Economists warn a negative result could send the market into a downward spiral.

TOMORROW’S TRADE IDEA, TODAY

This Stock Isn’t Just Fun and Games
Gotta Catch ‘Em All
Much like the Pokémon it famously unleashed onto phone screens everywhere, Unity Software (U) can’t stop leveling up.
The AR/VR gaming stock recently got a nice bump following its recent earnings report. It’s up more than 25% over the past five days.
But HSBC (HSBC) thinks more growth is in store. The firm lifted its price target for Unity to $34 per share, implying it could rise another 25% from current prices. Analyst Mohammed Khallouf also upped his rating from Hold to Buy.
App-ealing Earnings
Khallouf cited revenue momentum for Unity’s game engine and a revamped AdTech as potential tailwinds. The analyst also believes the company is attractive from an M&A standpoint due to its mobile gaming business and a plethora of first-party user data.
Unity’s earnings beat featured adjusted EBITDA of $106 million and revenue of $457 million. Those figures were projected to come in at $84.7 million and $432.5 million, respectively, according to FactSet.
The analyst believes the beats were catalyzed by Unity’s new AI ad program, Vector, as well as its customer migration plans. Unity is still lagging behind its chief competitor (and last year’s top-performing S&P 500 stock) AppLovin (APP). But HSBC says the latest numbers suggest its chances of catching up have significantly improved.
Disunity
Wall Street observers are not unified in their opinions on Unity. Just 12 of 28 analysts covering the stock have given it a Buy or Strong Buy rating, according to LSEG. 15 have given it a Hold.
But Khallouf maintains the stock has a ton of momentum and big plans for 2025. Indeed, it has gained more than 50% over the past 6 months — but it remains down nearly 13% over the last 12.
To hear HSBC tell it, that just means now is the time to log on.
