TOMORROW’S TRADE IDEA, TODAY

This Cryo Stock Is Heating Up

Thawing Out

Cryoport’s $CYRX ( ▼ 4.13% ) stock has been slipping like ice. But UBS $UBS ( ▼ 1.27% ) believes it is high time for a big thaw.

The bank just bumped the biopharma play up to Buy, citing its scalability. Analyst Dan Leonard’s new price target of $10 implies an upside of more than 40% from today’s close.

Down, Not Out

Cryoport offers a derivative way to play the biopharma space, per CNBC reporting. And according to UBS, now is an attractive time to buy in.

Its shares are down nearly 60% over the past 12 months, as the small-cap has been particularly exposed to recent market volatility, not to mention broader weakness in biopharma stocks. But UBS believes it won’t stay down for long.

As the world’s largest manufacturer of cryogenic storage systems, the company provides key supply chain management for the gene therapy sector. In other words, unlike individual companies, which may live or die on the efficacy of a single treatment, demand for Cryoport might not be going anywhere.

Scaling & Surging

Leonard also pointed to Cryoport’s ability to scale up its offerings, which he predicts will lead to positive free cash flow in 2027, not to mention sales growth.

The company’s stock is already surging on the upgrade. But the average analyst price target of around $11 — compared to today’s close of $7.10 — suggests CYRX still has further to climb.

In recent months, Cryoport has been on ice. But UBS believes investors who want exposure should grab it now, before the hot stock becomes too slick to hold.
